Andinet International School is a member of the Addis Ababa International Schools Sports Association. This department is led by an Athletics Head, who reports to the Secondary Principal and works cooperatively with both the Secondary and Primary Principals. Student athletes are trained by a team of coaches, most of whom are also P.E. teachers. AIS participates in the following sports: basketball, soccer, volleyball, and track & field. Teams are chosen for each term depending on the association’s decision for the sports for that term and the number of students who want to participate. The goal of the Athletics Program is to teach good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and to have fun. These skills support academics and they carry over to their college/university studies and even into their adult lives.
