Secondary Division

Academic excellence, ethical decision making, building leadership skills and engaging in service learning are the key areas of focus in the Secondary division, which includes Lower Secondary (Grade 7 & 8), High School (9 & 10) and Preparatory (11 & 12). Courses of study include: Mathematics, Amharic language, English language, German language (after school for interested students), French language for international students only, Civics, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, ICT, and Physical Education.

7th and 8th grade students enrolled in the Ethiopian National Curriculum concentrate on preparing for the Ethiopian National Examinations administered at the conclusion of Grade 8 by the Ethiopian Ministry of Education.

*International Students in Grades 7 & 8 may enroll in the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) beginning in the near future

Grade 11 enter the preparatory phase of their education; students choose either Social Science Stream or Natural Science Stream in preparation for university studies. They continue with their chosen course of study until the end of Grade 12 when they will take their university entrance examinations which will be administered by the Ethiopian Ministry of Education and will allow them to be admitted to state universities
